Licensed & certified physical therapy services
I offer a wide array of licensed and certified physical therapy services that will be customized to meet your individual challenges and accommodate any underlying conditions you may have.
Listening to you as a patient is critical. I will ask you to fill out intake forms on your pain, function, and goals ahead of time, so we can discuss your functions and daily limitations. I will be focusing on goals you want to achieve to maximize your quality of life.
A certified intervention is used for soft-tissue treatment by using instruments that are usually made of stainless steel with beveled edges and contours that can conform to different anatomical locations. This is an excellent treatment for tendonitis, tendonosis, and scar tissue.
A safe and certified procedure, dry needling can be an effective technique to relieve deep tissue pain that is due to trigger points or scar tissue in a muscle. A thin monofilament needle penetrates underlying muscular trigger points to alleviate impairment. This usually results in immediate to 48-hour improvements in muscle strength, muscle relaxation, range of motion, and/or pain. Recent studies show dry needling can promote improvements in a patient’s mental state and pain at the brain and spinal cord levels.
A home exercise program (HEP) a day keeps the PT away! A prescribed home exercise program helps keep your joints and muscles limber, reducing recovery time, while keeping your costs lean. I offer this program in print or via text or email. It includes pictures and videos that you will have access to download for one year. I start small and add to it little by little, so as you approach time for discharge you have a full program to keep you going!
A low-intensity therapy that can stimulate healing while using levels of light that aren’t enough to heat your body’s tissue (hence “cold laser”). This modality can be used to reduce swelling, inflammation, pain, and muscle tightness.
A licensed hands-on technique to treat your muscles, ligaments, lymphatic tissue, and fascia in order to loosen adhesions, reduce pain, and enhance muscle function.
Training (or re-training) your muscles, your brain, and related nerve systems to communicate with each other to improve movement, strength, balance and function. This includes PNF or proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation and NDT or neurodevelopment treatment.
Your schedule and location should not inhibit your recovery. I offer a variety of platforms so vulnerable patients can receive healthcare information. What makes me different? The unique attention you will experience.
My services may be prescribed singularly or in combination and in conjunction with any number of diagnoses including, but not limited to:
